Miami police find baby outside car, mother semi-conscious
The parents were transported to the hospital, while the two-month old was taken to a Miami Fire Station. The driver, a male friend of Tricoche’s, was passed out at the wheel, police said.

Authorities said Magdaline Tricoche, 40, was found slumped over on the sidewalk next to the baby at the scene of a crash on Northwest 20th Street and 12th Avenue.
Cruz said the infant is now in custody of a guardian, and the Florida Department of Children and Families is investigating.
NBC Miami reported that the infant’s mother was found outside the auto with the child, who was strapped in a vehicle seat, while the father was in the driver’s seat. “That’s all I know”, said the man who identified himself as Wilfredo.
Still, the incident might not have gained traction with the public if not for a tweet by Miami police three hours after the auto crash – and an eerily similar episode over the weekend in OH that caused a social media stir.
Miami police posted photos of officers holding and feeding the child after the crash, and initially said that the baby’s mother and her boyfriend possibly overdosed on heroin.
A source with the Miami police department told Local10 that the child’s mother has a history of heroin abuse.
Freddie Cruz confirmed to ABC News that officers arrived at the scene of the crash on Monday afternoon, finding two “unconscious and incoherent” adults.
Along with the tweet was a picture of the infant.

If officials discover that the parents were under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol at the time of the accident, both parents could face charges, said police.
