Michael Bay is directing Transformers 5

Michael Bay is returning to direct the fifth film in the Transformers series. What do you think about Bay signing on to direct “Transformers 5”? “It’s fun to do a movie that 100 million people will see, [but] this is the last one”. At this point, it’d probably be weird if anyone else took the reins, so have at it, Mike.

Other familiar names are returning for Transformers 5: Mark Wahlberg will once again star, Lorenzo di Bonaventura will once again produce, and Steven Spielberg will once again executive produce.

The 50-year-old filmmaker has confirmed he’s helming the next film in the blockbuster franchise, but claims after this one he is calling it a day.

Bay was attached as producer of the film up until now. He also mentions how this is definitely going to be his last one, even though he’s said that at least twice before.
