Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson 2 agreed for UFC 204

After months of speculation since Michael “The Count” Bisping shocked the mixed martial arts world by sensationally knocking out then UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold, it now seems that the Englishman’s first title defence is set as he is poised to fight Dan Henderson. MMAFighting.com has reported that two veterans will be squaring off in the main event of October 8’s UFC 204 from Manchester, England.

Henderson has stated that win, lose or draw, his fight against Bisping will be the final bout of his legendary career and he will retire after UFC 204 comes to a close.

UFC 204 is slated for October 8 and will take place in Manchester, England at Manchester Arena. Seven years later, they will meet again, this time for the UFC middleweight title. ‘Dan Henderson knocked me out at UFC 100. “Do not miss it”, Bisping stated weeks after UFC president Dana White said that he is cooking a match-up between Bisping and Henderson. A lot of people have been very excited about this matchup.

Rockhold, former champ Chris Weidman and top contender Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza have expressed disappointment in being passed over.

Bisping, who is the Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight champion, announced the rematch, the date and venue on a radio show interview on Thursday.
