Michael Flynn: I’d still vote for Trump if I’m not his VP

In some ways, tough-talking Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn could make an ideal running mate for Republican Donald Trump.

Flynn was far less kind in his comments about Trump’s opponent, presumptive Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton.

“It’s about leadership, and it’s about responsible leadership as well”, Flynn told ABC. “Trump has a bigger, longer-term vision for this country than just sitting as a president for four years”. I think that’s a hard legal decision, and I think that women are so important in that decision-making process. “Trump has said that he wants a D.C. political insider, but he may instead look to boost his national security credentials with Flynn”.

In August 2014, Flynn left his job at the Defense Intelligence Agency, allegedly after clashing with officials in the Obama White House. “I think it’s a brand he finds appealing”.

If he were picked for Trump’s ticket, he would be the first general to be on a vice presidential ticket in more than 50 years.

After negative feedback from major pro-life organizations, including the Susan B. Anthony List, who said the statement “disqualifies” Flynn from the VP position, Flynn has flipped sides.

Known for opposing President Obama and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in the past, the Rhode Island native may be a flawless match for outspoken Trump. “His pro-abortion position is unacceptable and would undermine the pro-life policy commitments that Mr. Trump has made throughout the campaign”. “And I met with him and I was very impressed”.

Donald Trump has said he will announce his choice for a running mate this week, in advance of the start of the Republican National Convention on Monday.

“I have said that service to this country is an honor”. This includes Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, who recently signed a law into place that bans abortion in the case of fetal abnormalities sex or race. Rick Santorum, and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
