To take things to the next level, after they finished “Earth Angel”, they played “Johnny B. Goode”, which excited the crowd and surely gave them that new (old) sound that they had been looking for.

The band are now on the North American leg of their Head Full of Dreams tour and performed at NJ’s MetLife Stadium on Saturday (16th July) night, bringing out a very special guest for an unforgettable encore.
During the band’s show, a clip rolled on the big screen showing lead singer Chris Martin’s son, Moses Martin, requesting a song from the band. “Goode” with Fox on guitar.
Fox, in character as Marty McFly, performed the songs at the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance in the 1985 movie “Back to the Future”. The band obliged by going into “Earth Angel” by The Penguins, only to have Martin say halfway through the song, “Ladies and gentlemen, from the best movie of all time, please welcome Mr. Michael J. Fox!”.
“That’s our dream come true. Thank you, Michael”, Martin said after the performance.
Billboard reported Fox and Coldplay played together in 2013 at a benefit for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in 2013.
