TMZ reports that Jackson, 87, was hospitalized Friday after he felt weak at a routine doctor’s appointment. TMZ first reported the news, along with a video interview with Joe’s son, Jermaine Jackson, conducted on Saturday.
The 87-year-old father of eleven children was hospitalized in Los Angeles Wednesday morning, and as the outspoken Jackson siblings continue to downplay their father’s medical crisis, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned what his doctors just told the entire family.
In recent years, Jackson – who’s set to be a grandfather again now that daughter Janet is expecting – has battled several health setbacks.
“He came for a checkup at his doctor’s but then they put him in a hospital”, Jermaine Jackson said. “We were all anxious”, Jackson said. He’s much healthier and we’re very happy about that.
“My father’s very strong, he’s up there telling jokes”. All his vital signs are great. “We’re just trying to hold on to him as long as we can”.

Last August, Joe was hospitalised in Brazil, where he was celebrating his 87th birthday, after suffering a stroke and three heart attacks.
