Charlotte Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist suffered an apparent right arm injury in a preseason contest vs. the Magic Saturday night. The severity of the injury is unknown at this point, however with the season right around the corner more information should be available shortly.

It’s just one preseason game for the Charlotte Hornets but the ramifications from it could be monstrous. He was immediately helped to the locker room.

Clifford was able to hold to his commitment to not play any of his five starters – Kidd-Gilchrist, Marvin Williams, Al Jefferson, Nic Batum and Kemba Walker – more than 24 minutes. “Then, we’ll get into a regular timeout or a guy will get upset about a call and get a technical – things that you can’t simulate in practice – and it will be good to go through that with the guys”. He missed his only shot from three. Charlotte rookie Frank Kaminsky had seven points and four rebounds.

“It is my first game with this team, so I’m just looking forward to getting into a game with them, ” Skiles continued. Before the end of the quarter, there was an entirely new group on the floor in Zeller, Lamb, Hawes, Jeremy Lin and P.J. Hairston. At the start of the second half, the same Hornets starters returned to the game, with the exception of MKG, as Jeremy Lamb took Michael’s place in the line-up.
