Michael Phelps wins silver in 100 butterfly
“He has never ever beaten Michael Phelps in the Olympic Games, but Ryan Lochte is going for it!” he shouted, excitedly. “So Michael, I’ll see you in Tokyo”. Less than 40 minutes after that race, he qualified for Friday’s final.

Now the most decorated Olympian of all time, US swimmer Michael Phelps has racked up 26 career Olympic medals, 22 of which are gold. “I think I had a pound of spaghetti, and I am not a spaghetti fan”.
After Lochte’s break, he will get back to training for the next Olympics.
Interestingly, Phelps’s mother, Debbie, also told the Today Show that there was seemingly a chance of Phelps making another run at Olympic gold.
“I did my best time, and I raced the two greatest 200-meter swimmers of all time, so I am happy”, said Phelps.
Bob Bowman, Phelps’ longtime coach, shot down talk that Phelps could make it back 2020 Tokyo Games.
During Thursday night’s highly anticipated 200-meter individual medley competition between Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte, Friedman mixed up the Team USA swimmers for his viewers in Canada. “He doesn’t need it”. As usual. He has one more individual event at what he insists will really be his final Olympics – remember, he already retired once – and will be looking to add a fourth straight gold in the 100m butterfly to his staggering resume.
Lochte’s performance at Rio was far from the heights he would have expected, particularly given it was his only individual event at his fourth Olympics.
“I’m just living a dream come true”, said Phelps.

“It could be for 10 days, two years”. “One last time! #USA #longjourney #12years”, Lochte captioned the ‘gram of them sitting in matching inflatable rescue floats and digging into their carb-packed pre-race meals. “We’ll see, he’ll miss the sport”.
