Since training camp started, the backup quarterback position has been heavily scrutinized for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
While it took Ben Roethlisberger some time before hitting his stride in the 24-19 win over the Green Bay Packers, the Pittsburgh Steelers got another fine performance from their star quarterback.
Michael Vick, through the prism of social media, has made it clear he wants to ditch free agency continue his NFL career.
While the source didn’t suggest a contract offer was imminent, his appearance does suggest backup plans to the possible absence of Gradkowski are being considered.
Gradkowski is expected to have surgery Tuesday and is likely to be out three to four weeks.
Since his his 2007 dog fighting conviction, Vick has attempted to fix his image.
The 12-year veteran was with the Jets on a one-year deal after five seasons with the Eagles and six with the Falcons.

Vick appeared in 10 games for the Jets last season after starter Geno Smith proved incapable of holding onto the top spot on the depth chart. He completed just 52.9 percent of his passes and threw three touchdown passes and two interceptions. He added 26 carries for 153 yards and two more fumbles.
