Michail Antonio secures West Ham’s first Premier League win at new ground
‘It feels fantastic to be the first Premier League goalscorer at London Stadium and it’s one of those things I can always tell my kids, ‘ he told West Ham TV.

In case you missed the goal, Tore had a moment of brilliance in beating his marker before unleashing a pinpoint cross which was headed into the back of the net by Antonio.
West Ham lost Andy Carroll and Dimitri Payet to injury during the week, and after Andre Ayew suffered an injury against Chelsea there have been suggestions that Bilic will now need to be more active in the transfer market.
West Ham responded to the incident by issuing the following statement to Mirror Football: “West Ham United condemn unreservedly the behaviour of a small minority of individuals in an isolated incident following the fixture against AFC Bournemouth”.
Michail Antonio was delighted to prove West Ham’s matchwinner against Bournemouth. “The season has just started I am very positive we are capable of winning games. If he asks me, I’m just going to say “Yes”. “We’re going to try to get one if possible”. “We’re delighted to end the first game at this attractive stadium with a win”.
The hosts had the best of the limited opportunities in the opening period, with Cheikhou Kouyate smashing a half volley over the bar and Cherries keeper Artur Boruc making a good stop at his near post from Enner Valencia.
– West Ham is the second team to have won consecutive Premier League home matches at different stadiums after Sunderland at Roker Park and the Stadium of Light.
“It was a tight game with few chances”, Bournemouth manager Howe told Sky Sports.
Stuani put Aitor Karanka’s Boro ahead with a glorious 25-yard strike in the 13th minute at the Stadium of Light before finishing off a neat team move on the cusp of half-time.
“I think the way we played in the second half, (we) should not be scared of anyone”, said the Dutchman. Unfortunately the mistake for us was going down to ten men.
“We’d encourage any fans left in the vast, desolate expanses of the London Stadium to make themselves known to stewards in any way they can”, a West Ham spokesman told FFT.

“Everybody knows what he means for us, and, of course, we would have loved for him to play, but it was impossible”.
