Michelle Obama brings Missy Elliott along for “Carpool Karaoke”

Michelle Obama already showed off her moves with Jimmy Fallon. During the stroll she asks to listen to some music and they start singing.

“That’s a 3 a.m. phone call you’ll be prepared for”, Obama joked. Mrs. Obama claims to know every Stevie Wonder song on the planet and I’m not even mad at her. The First Lady danced around and sang along to Beyonce’s hit “Single Ladies” and Missy Elliot’s “Get Your Freak On”.

“Are you not going to miss 24-hour room service?” he asks.

During an early summer visit to Washington, D.C., comedian James Corden brought his “Carpool Karaoke” segment to the White House with First Lady Michelle Obama. She was eager to “rock out”, she said; it was only the second time in seven and a half years she’d been able to sit in a car’s passenger seat. “I can make a mean grilled cheese sandwich”.

Obama also talked about Let Girls Learn passionately and said that if girls are educated, their lives can change tremendously.

She smiled as she and Corden belted out Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies,” and then delivered the flawless post-song zinger about their performance.

“We were makin’ honey to put in our Lemonade“, she laughed, before explaining why she recently got on SnapChat.

Missy Elliot then suddenly appears from the backseat of the vehicle while Corden and Obama sing “This is for My Girls”, which is a collaborative track that features vocals from the iconic rapper and other artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Zendaya, Lea Michelle, Janelle Monae and Kelly Rowland. “The Atlantic described as “sublime” the “sight of the wife of the leader of the free world rapping to ‘Get Ur Freak On” “.
