Michelle Obama Gets Her Freak On for ‘Carpool Karaoke’

James Corden shares details about his trip to the White House where he helped First Lady Michelle Obama launch her Snapchat before taping a Carpool Karaoke with her. “But that goes to show you just how cool she is”.

“This is insane, well let’s take a spin then”, Corden replies.

Obama and Corden sang a medley of hits, including Beyoncé’s 2008 chart-topper “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours”.

“That’s a 3 a.m. phone call you’ll be prepared for”, Obama joked.

But she’s definitely still got it, and when Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” came on, she busted out some unbelievable moves. (Two weeks ago, FLOTUS also sent a video to VH1 Hip-Hop Honors in support of Elliott, who was being celebrated.) Then they do a very rousing rendition of “Get Ur Freak On”.

When asked what she will miss most about her time at the White House, the First Lady responded that it would be the people she got to know and work with.

The silver lining to the cloud that is the Obamas’ impending exit from the White House is that they’ll have more time to make appearances (i.e. goof out) on our favorite TV shows.

Obama revealed that filming the segment was just the second time in 7 1/2 years that she sat in the passenger seat of a auto, the other time being when one of her daughters took a drivers ed course. “We were in the Beyhive making honey”, Corden said.

“Do you mind if we listen to some music?” the First Lady asks.

The song was written by Grammy-winner Diane Warren and includes Elliott, Kelly Clarkson, Janelle Monae, Kelly Rowland, Lea Michele and Zendaya. She slayed Carpool Karaoke. “We just dropped the mic into the hive”, Obama agreed.

Obama also talked about Let Girls Learn passionately and said that if girls are educated, their lives can change tremendously.
