Michelle Obama Rocks Out on James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke”

Ok, everyone. Let’s put the political debates aside and just enjoy this unbelievable episode of Carpool Karaoke from last night’s Late Late Show with James Corden. Missy Elliot also makes a surprise appearance in the back seat, and Obama joins in for “Get Ur Freak On”. But I don’t know how anything is going to be able to surpass his most recent session with the First Lady, Michelle Obama.

According to the First Lady, she will miss the people who have worked with and for them for the past couple of years.

While Corden usually zips around the roads in the Range Rover, the trio had to shoot the segment within the grounds of the White House. As they drove around the White House service roads, Corden’s auto was trailed by Secret Service agents.

The duo started off with “Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours” by Stevie Wonder, an Obama’s favorite.

When asked what she will miss most about her time at the White House, the First Lady responded that it would be the people she got to know and work with. Viewers probably got the most kicks out of seeing Michele Obama singing Missy’s hit’s lyrics “copywritten so don’t copy me, y’all do it sloppy-ly”. Corden turned on the upbeat “This is for My Girls” single that was released to raise money for the campaign, and includes artists like Missy Elliott, Kelly Rowland, Zendaya, and more.

The First Lady of the United States hopped in the vehicle with the British chat show host for an extra special Carpool Karaoke.

On Wednesday night, she rapped, sang, joked, talked and basically stole the show on Carpool Karaoke, a USA television show’s sing-along hit segment.

Personable as ever, Obama spent the time between songs answering questions from Corden about her experience as first lady, confessing that because of the massive amounts of security surrounding her family’s travel, she rarely gets to drive around in a auto and jam out. The song is in support of Let Girls Learn on top of being a super catchy “girl power” anthem. Even the USA first lady’s Secret Service was watching.

Michelle Obama and James Corden danced to Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies.”
