Michelle Obama Serves Us Beyoncé, Steve Wonder on Carpool Karaoke
According to TV Line, Obama didn’t just have a blast with the “Late Late Show” host; she was also there to promote Let Girls Learn, an initiative to help educate more than 62 million girls around the world who do not have access to education.

Perhaps that’s something she can look forward to when she leaves the White House early next year. The two discussed life in the White House and sang along to some of the first lady’s favorite tunes. Not for someone stealing some lines from her speech, but for her carpool karaoke performance on “The Late Late Show” with James Corden.
Corden and Obama were also joined later in the 15-minute segment by Grammy Award-winning hip-hop artist Missy Elliott.
Corden acted all surprised when Michelle hopped into the vehicle after a space becomes free in her schedule. And during the drive Mrs Obama grooved to everything from Stevie Wonder’s “Signed Sealed Delivered”, which apparently was President’s Obama’s victory song in 2008, to Beyonce’s famous ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)’.
Obama says she’s only been able to “rock out” from the passenger’s seat of a auto one time in 7 1/2 years – when her daughter Malia learned how to drive. During the stroll she asks to listen to some music and they start singing.
Next song up is “Single Ladies” by Beyonce, and Corden goes to town.
“When we got in the vehicle and I saw her rapping Get Ur Freak On, it kind of bugged me out!”, Missy told People magazine.
“It happened so fast – literally Kelly Clarkson was singing her part in Nashville while we were nearly mastering it”, the song’s writer told told Billboard in 2016. “So we dropped her vocals in. It was that insane”. And then they broke into Elliott’s biggest hit “Get Your Freak On”.

When Corden flipped back to the studio, he gushed about his experience in Washington, D.C. This week’s segment, featuring First Lady Michelle Obama, might take the cake for being the most exciting, though.
