Proving the line between politicians and celebrities is becoming ever more blurred, Ms Obama also announced she would be appearing on James Corden’s enduringly popular Carpool Karaoke in a short Snapchat video today.
Carpool Karaoke is stepping up its game.
Kelsey Donohue, who works in the Obama’s communication office, declared the news of her Snapchat debut in a Medium blog post.
It hasn’t been confirmed when the segment will actually air but it’s safe to assume that it is going to make major waves when it does hit.
The duo seemed like they couldn’t wait to get involved in a bit of a sing-song.
Carpool Karaoke has been a bona fide viral smash online for Corden, however.
On Tuesday, the First Lady revealed that she has finally made a handle on the social media app, just days before her big trip to Liberia, Morocco, and Spain for her Let Girls Learn initiative.

She will follow in the footsteps of Justin Bieber, Adele, Mariah Carey, Chris Martin, One Direction, Demi Lovato, Jennifer Lopez and Stevie Wonder who have all taken part in the chat show segment.
