Michigan fans marry after meeting in Big Ten blog comment section

It’s a tale as old as time.

According to ESPN, Kate tells them that Brandon was the only one to not accuse her of being “a middle-aged man in a basement somewhere”.

Despite the similarities, Kate and Brandon never knew each other before meeting in the comment section and becoming known as the “Blog Couple” to all the other commenters out there.

Kate and Brandon recently married after first falling for each other in the space underneath Big Ten articles under the handles bleu_girl_04 and AAWolv amidst all the insults and misspellings that usually fill in the comments section.

Before they met in person, Brandon even blog proposed to Kate with a Michigan championship ring.

Said Wagoner: “She’s better looking than Lennay Kekua, and real, so it turned out pretty well”. Before their wedding, which was held during a Michigan bye week, the couple reached out to ESPN’s Big Ten reporters Adam Rittenberg and Brian Bennett. Like most online forums, it was humanity’s digital septic tank, a playground for the obnoxious, the juvenile and the fakest of tough guys (and, occasionally, gals). If commenters weren’t putting down rival schools, they were trolling one another.

The thought that true love could sprout from this crass corner of the Internet seemed implausible, like Michigan hiring Jim Harbaugh.

“You can’t say no to the championship ring”, Kate jokes in the video. It is definitely worth a read. They both admit that they realized their relationship was the real deal very early on, which is why Brandon found a job in North Carolina that “was good for his career”.
