Michigan to open Battle 4 Atlantis tournament against Connecticut

Other first-round games in the Battle 4 Atlantis are Syracuse vs. Charlotte, Washington vs. Gonzaga and Michigan vs. Connecticut.
Michigan would face the victor of Syracuse-Charlotte in the semifinals if it can defeat the Huskies. The last meeting was a 68-63 win by Michigan on January, 17, 2010, in Ann Arbor. The Battle 4 Atlantis will give the Wolverines a chance to gauge where they are early in the nonconference season, which also features games against North Carolina State, Xavier and Southern Methodist.
