Mickey Gall vs. CM Punk conference call highlights

Questions about exactly how or why the Ohio Athletic Commission made a decision to give CM Punk a license to compete at UFC 203 are probably a bit overblown.

In January 2014 at Quickens Loan Arena in Cleveland, CM Punk decided his pro wrestling career was over.

“It’s just there are people who want to see me win”. I think they employed that strategy in their marketing so if he does anything but get creamed I think he comes out OK.

Mickey Gall: “I’m not particularly impressed, just different things, the way he moves”.

“I don’t know why people care”.

“If it was that weak a fight, it would have been one of the preliminary-card fights”, said Profato.

A month before his first professional fight in the Dead Serious MMA promotion against Ron Templeton in November 2015, Gall got a call from the promotion’s owner Frankie Perez telling him Dana White would be in the crowd. “There’s a lot of eyes on the main card and I’m on the damn poster. and it’s my second UFC fight! If you’re not me and you’re not the guy fighting me, why the hell are you so invested?”

“I think I’m more paranoid about doing something stupid and getting hurt”, Punk said.

“I’m going to be in there looking to kill him and I’ve got some stuff that’s really going to devastate him”.

“Within the rules set, I’m going to be going in there to kill him”, Gall said. I want to show out.
