Micromax Canvas Mega 4G
The leading Indian handsets brand Micromax has launched today Canvas Mega series of smartphones to propel the growth of the phablet category. The Canvas Mega is priced at an affordable price range of Rs. 7,999 while the Canvas Mega 4G is priced at a best price of Rs. 10,999. The new Micromax Canvas Mega 4G has a 5.5-inch IPS screen with HD resolution and runs on a 1.4GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6592M chipset.

“The Micromax Canvas Mega E353 will boast of a 5.5” high definition IPS display.
In comparison, the Canvas Fire 4G featured a 4.5-inch display, 1GHz MediaTek MT6735M quad-core 64-bit processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage, and microSD card. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable by up to 32GB via microSD card. It is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery and will cost Rs 10,999. The rear camera clocks in at 13MP with an LED flash while the front-facing snapper is listed at 5MP. It runs Android Lollipop 5.1.
Naturally, these are just the suggested prices and the devices will be available for much cheaper when they’re available in the markets. It though is a 3G phone but it offers other connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth and has 32 GB expandable memory as well as FM radio.
“Phablet market has grown exponentially in the last quarter with over 200% growth in the segment”. Currently, India is one of those countries where 4G enabled smartphones can be purchased as low as 5K.
Let us note down the technical specifications of both the smartphones. For connectivity, the Canvas Mega has options including 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth. The device is backed by a 2820mAh battery. The company in a press statement has confirmed that the Micromax Canvas Mega (E353) will be available in the markets immediately.
The Micromax Canvas Mega 4G Q417 as the name implies comes with 4G support.
