Micromax Launches Canvas Xpress 2: Cheapest octacore smartphone for Rs 5,999
Catering to this need of the mass Indian youth, we are today proud to announce the launch of Micromax Canvas Xpress 2- the most affordable Octa Core smartphone in the market. Right on cue, the Indian smartphone vendor has launched the Canvas Xpress 2. The first flash sale will kick off on August 4 at 2:00PM, and registrations for the sale kick off today at 6:00PM.

The company touts that the new Canvas Xpress 2 is the country’s ‘most affordable octa-core smartphone.’.
It is worth noting that this is the first time, Canvas Spark is available on an open sale.
Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 E313, sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 processor, coupled with 1GB RAM. 4,999 and will be available in White-Gold and Grey-Silver colour options. In addition, there is a microSD card slot for expanding the built-in storage up to 32GB. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera. The dual-sim phone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM radio and Global Positioning System but doesn’t include a 4G radio. The phone has a 2,500mAh battery, which delivers up to 9.5 hours of talk time. On top of that, those acquiring the phone will also be granted 500MB of free 3G data per month for 2 months (if you are a Vodafone customer).

Micromax recently announced that it has already sold 5,00,000 units of Canvas Spark since its launch in April this year. Micromax said this is also a phone that has been developed with Flipkart’s inputs and insights. The Canvas Spark might not have the best hardware, although its 8-megapixel rear-facing camera is still rather impressive for such a low-cost device.
