Adxstudio describes itself as “the leading provider of web portal and application lifecycle management solutions built for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SharePoint and.NET platforms”.

The company’s flagship product, Adxstudio Portals, enables businesses to build customer-facing Web sites that integrate directly with their Dynamics CRM account. They have worked closely with Microsoft for years, and have often been recognized as a top performing Dynamics CRM partner.
The acquisition, which comes in wake of CRM providers SalesForce’s – which entered into a partnership with Microsoft recently – decision to renovate its sales cloud and add intelligence to the same. Adxstudio will spin off its professional services division into a new company, Adoxio Business Solutions, according to a blog post from Reena Joseph, Adxstudio’s director of marketing.
“It’s an incredibly sexy acquisition”, Bill Patterson, technical product manager for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, told CMSWire. Each of these solutions will be available for all Microsoft Dynamics CRM customers and can be used both on-premises and in the cloud.
This acquisition also delivers pre-built engagement solutions including partner relationship management for organisations who sell through partner channels; technical support solutions for high tech and software development organisations; and online citizen engagement for public sector organisations. Any customers who have an existing contract with that group will continue getting served, though it’s unclear if it will be taking new clients.

Stutz also noted that, per Forrester research, web self-service is now the most popular channel customers use to get help. The portals work easily with the CRM application for both online and on-premises customers. Stutz also noted the deal will enable Microsoft to address the online customer engagement needs of select industry verticals. “What we needed was a great one for web engagement technology”.
