Microsoft adds Starbucks feature to Outlook

For scheduling their meetings via the new Starbucks for Outlook feature, users simply have to click the “Meet at Starbucks” option at the top of the screen when they create a new meeting request, look for a Starbucks outlet in their vicinity, and set it as the meeting place.

The Starbucks add-in is available for free in the Office Store for Outlook.com, Outlook 2013 and 2016, and Outlook on the web for users who are using either Exchange 2013, Exchange 2016, or Office 365.

The companies announced plans for the add-in at Microsoft’s Build developer conference, as an example of how third parties could integrate with Microsoft Office as a developer platform.

In addition to the Starbucks meeting feature, Outlook users can also purchase a Starbucks ecard and send that gift via email.
