Microsoft Announces 2 New Xboxes To Make Your One Doubly Outdated
The Xbox One Scorpio, billed as the most powerful console ever, will arrive for holidays 2017, but the new Xbox One S will launch in August, with a significant number of updated features of its own.

It will also comfortably support gaming in virtual reality, Xbox head Phil Spencer said at Microsoft’s E3 press conference in Los Angeles.
Details are incredibly thin at present. That may sound like a tall claim, but the specs speak for themselves: Project Scorpio will have 6 teraflops of GPU allowing for 4K gaming and virtual reality support. However, it wasn’t clear whether all new games launched would get both an Xbox One version and a Scorpio version.
Microsoft also unveiled an upgraded Xbox One console, codenamed “Project Scorpio”, that’ll be released in Late 2017. Bethesda and EA previewed a few of their coming games on Sunday, but Microsoft was the first major console manufacturer to kick things off with a briefing at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
There are also claims that the power supply for the Xbox One S will be built-in. Microsoft made specific mention that VR would be a significant part of Scorpio, and Bethesda’s Todd Howard appeared in a video played at the conference to note that the developer’s VR version of Fallout 4 would come to Scorpio.
Microsoft has announced a new version of the Xbox One with support for HDR gaming and 4K Blu-ray playback.
“What we’re saying is that we’re going to ship Xbox One games, and those games will run on Xbox One, run on Xbox One S, and run on Scorpio”, he explained.
Finally there’s the new Xbox One S – a much-needed redesign of the current Xbox One. It seems Microsoft are taking it one step further, the Scorpio (which is just a code name at this stage) with VR compatibility and some impressive hardware boasts.
The event also showcased a number of new titles including Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2, Forza Horizon 3.

The feature, called Xbox Play Anywhere, will let people play online with others via systems of their choice.
