Microsoft at E3 2016 – everything you need to know

Based on this report, Project Scorpio could support 12GB of GDDR5 or 8GB of G5X using a 256-bit bus in order to achieve the promised 320GB/s memory bandwidth. Xbox One S is “smaller, sleeker, sharper” version of the Xbox One modeled in a new distinctive “robot white”. In an interview with Wired, Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed as much.

Project Scorpio will bring native 4K and VR gaming to the living room.

But Microsoft appears to be gambling that its turbocharged machine – described in a show reel as “a monster” by one game developer – will tempt gamers to save their money.

Last year Microsoft had released its partnership with Oculus Rift and they made some of the Xbox One games which can be played at the platform of virtual reality.

The Xbox One S is being touted as 40 percent lighter than the original Xbox one, will feature support for 4K and have a redesigned controller. In fact, Microsoft is calling it “the world’s most powerful console”.

Exclusive games are becoming increasingly rare, with gamers wanting to play on different platforms and be given the choice of console, PC or mobile.
