Microsoft Brings Game Preview Program To Windows 10
Xbox Wireless supported Windows 10 PCs will be able to connect up to eight Xbox Wireless Controllers at once.

Xbox is phasing out unnecessary dongles for your Windows 10 PC, announcing a new line of computers that communicate wirelessly with your Xbox accessories without the need to buy any extraneous adapters. At first this functionality was limited to Windows 10, but was later expanded to Windows 7 (and 8). Today the company announced that it’s licensing out the Xbox One’s wireless tech to other manufacturers. And that’s not all. “Through our partners, we plan to deliver a range of Xbox Wireless supported PCs and accessories such as headsets, joysticks, and other input devices”.
The programme was launched on Xbox previous year and has included titles like Elite: Dangerous, The Long Dark, and We Happy Few.
The Lenovo IdeaCentre Y710 Cube, which is set to launch in October, will support all wireless accessories for the Xbox One, including the Xbox Wireless Controller. However, in the future, Xbox Wireless connectivity will become a component on motherboards provided by Microsoft’s partners. These include Astro, HyperX, Lenovo, Mad Catz, PDP, Plantronics, Razer, SteelSeries, and Turtle Beach. Because Microsoft uses a proprietary wireless signal on the Xbox One, the headset market has basically broken into two halves in the past few years-the Xbox side and the PlayStation 4 plus PC side (because the PS4 utilizes the more commonplace Bluetooth standard). “For even more control in your favorite games, the Cube also comes with the option of an integrated Xbox One Wireless receiver, including an Xbox One wireless controller”.

“At Xbox, we’re continuously exploring new ways for you to get the most out of your gaming experiences by providing you with the choice to play how you want, where you want”, Microsoft’s Will Tuttle explains.
