“I would love to have less frictions in doing business, as I am a person who always pushes for more”. “We want to bring that down to around 23 permissions”.

In fact, Fadnavis said there was no doubt that creating smart cities is creating efficiencies.

Build 50 smart villages in Maharashtra: Maharashtra’s CM Devendra Fadnavis today mentioned that the government will team up with Microsoft to build 50 smart villages in Maharashtra.

“Satya is in India on a one-day visit to Mumbai to deliver a keynote at Microsoft’s Future Unleashed”.

Among its rumored specs is its processor, which is said to be the Intel Atom X3 LTE (Sofia), which according to the report, already has Windows 10 mobile support. To everyone’s surprise, Nadella pulls out an iPhone, but quickly says that, “It’s not my phone, but it’s an iPhone, but it includes all the Microsoft apps and services”. For the first time the Microsoft Surface tablet will be available in India. With the new partnerships, Microsoft aims to create “new marketplaces, new services and new experiences” for its customers. He cited the example of what the company was doing with the “Microsoft Band on one end and HoloLens on the other”.

Nadella said, “Every successful company has a core”.

“At Microsoft, we strive to empower every citizen and every business and government organisation to achieve more”. We have three interlocking ambitions. He adds, “Work isn’t a solo experience anymore”. He said the capability of these devices to do PC-like computing will be great for a country like India. “Because I feel that unless and until you have a sustainable model which local companies can deliver, I think that all these big ticket schemes won’t truly work”.

Interacting with a group of reporters, he said that he is extremely impressed with the adoption level of cloud computing in India since the company opened three data centres in Pune, Mumbai and Chennai 12 months ago.

Continuing, Satya spoke about Hololens. He cited the example of StaffPad that has “changed how music is composed; (it’s) a tool that a composer like A.R. Rehman uses”.

“With the newly launched Microsoft Cloud and with Surface Pro 4, our customers here in India have the digital technology they need to seize incredible new growth and opportunity on a global scale”, he added. “And once you start doing that, you create a new medium”, he said.
