Play Anywhere refers to Microsoft’s controversial new marketing angle in which a customer can buy a game once and play it on Xbox One or PC if it exists on both.

Microsoft has taken the wraps off of the Xbox One S, a slimmer and more powerful version of its Xbox One console.
The Microsoft’s XBOX one S is not the next gen to Xbox one; it is just a modified version of his earlier one with rectifying mistakes of the big one and making the version more advanced rather than taking it to next level. Spencer also said that their motivation for this new console is the upgrade to 4k. The console is believed to have more RAM and improved memory bandwidth over the Xbox One’s 8GB DDR3 as well as an improved CPU. The Xbox One Slim has all the features of the Xbox One plus compatibility with 4K video, 4K Ultra HD Blu-Rays and HDR video and a Bluetooth enabled controller that works with Windows 10. According to Spencer, the Scorpio is for the “4K gamer”.
Spencer is very aware of the reaction to announcing two consoles at the same conference – with one effectively being a replacement for the other – but coming out and saying that the system will not be for anyone without a 4K TV is a move we didn’t expect to see.
However, there is a catch that only some of the Xbox One games will run better on Scorpio if they meet certain requirements.

Meanwhile announcement of the Xbox One S has had a dramatic impact on the price of the standard Xbox One. “But as we looked at our timing and our design decisions, we focused on some different things that basically became Xbox Play Anywhere”.
