Sony Interactive Entertainment announced two new PlayStation video game consoles, the PlayStation4 Pro and a slimmer PlayStation4.
The new, slimmer PS4 will give gamers an additional choice for how they wish to enjoy PlayStation content, according to KEF Media.
Both developers also agreed that companies like Microsoft and Sony continuing to push the issue of HDR and 4K will likely lead to increased manufacturing of products that support the technology, as well as a unified HDR system for all.
The PS4 Pro has graphics power double that of the original along with a 1TB hard drive which again is twice as much as the existing version. Moreover, Greenberg also stated that Project Scorpio is going to be more powerful compared to PS4 Pro, supporting Microsoft’s previous confirmation that Project Scorpio’s six teraflops of processing power, while PS4 Pro has only 4.2, Polygon reported. There is also a faster processor and with all this combined, Sony claims the look and feel of games will be improved.
The console is scheduled for release on the 10 of November 2016 and it’s priced at $399.

The lower-end PS4 model, which goes on sale from September 15, is about 30 percent smaller and 16 percent lighter than the current PS4. As early as next week, there will be a firmware update to all PS4’s allowing them to reach HDR capabilities. This means multiple games will be 4K ready by the PS4 Pro launches to take advantage of 4K and HDR screens.
