Microsoft kicks off ‘Windows as a service’ with new Insider build
While Cortana has been doing this for awhile on phones, she now can give you this information directly on the desktop in Windows 10. There are various issues and bugs that Microsoft has either fixed or needs to address in following updates, and then there are privacy worries that come with the free operating system upgrade.

Merely three weeks after Window 10’s release, reports have been spreading all over the internet that this new OS is collecting too much personal information, and there seems to be no stopping it.
Lawyers with the Bubnov and Partners legal practice in Moscow have filed a complaint with the Prosecutor General’s Office over the privacy and data collection settings of the Windows 10 computer operating system, RIA Novosti reported Thursday, citing one of the lawyers. It could mean a multitude of things, but it is questionable whether or not the operating system could actually detect fake or bootleg hardware peripherals used by the end users.
Windows 10 comes with both a Start menu and a Start screen, giving users the power to choose which one they like more, and many adopters believe that this is exactly what Microsoft should have done in Windows 8.1 from the very beginning. The rollback will then begin, during which you won’t be able to use your system.
However, disabling it may be a daunting task. Think again. Microsoft now has the ability to automatically download and install whatever update it wants on your PC.
Some of the steps you can do to somehow restrict Windows to collect pieces of your personal data include avoiding the use of express setting during setup. Luckily, this isn’t a bug, but a new feature of Windows 10 that should improve your overall experience. “You may also be required to update the software to continue using the Services”.

The flashiest of these is Cortana, Microsoft’s voice-controlled assistant software, which users can now call up either through the Windows taskbar or by saying “Hey, Cortana” if they choose.
