Microsoft Launches A News App For iOS Folks Christened ‘NewsPro’
The app is very similar to the Apple News app, however, it is powered by Bing.

So how do we separate the useful news from the useless news?
According to the app’s description, “News Pro helps you search for news around your work every day”.
Microsoft Garage has recently launched its own news app for iOS dubbed News Pro. However instead of combing for news topics that are based on your personal interests or hobbies, News Pro will approach it from a different angle by providing you with news based on your job.
News sources will also be suggested based on your LinkedIn and Facebook interests.
From that selection of industries, and by the use of the term “industries” alone, you can probably tell that News Pro is geared more toward professionals.
News Pro is a Microsoft Garage project, so it’s still in experimental phase, but this doesn’t change the fact that the software giant has only released it on iPhone and not on Windows 10 Mobile devices.
The good news though is that you can easily unfollow the topics the app opts you into and you can move beyond its recommendations by searching for specific topics like sports, politics and entertainment. You can also like, comment, or share articles. Once you click into a story, you can choose “Speedy” to get a version of the article that strips out ads and other elements that slow down websites so articles can load quickly and in an easy to read format.

Just as Apple is reported to soon add subscriber-only content to its News app, Microsoft has come out with a new news app called News Pro. Microsoft is no stranger to that ecosystem either, since it has an MSN News app, plus Bing and Cortana apps that include their own recommended news stories.
