Microsoft launches Lumia 640 XL LTE Dual SIM at Rs 17399

However, customers in India will still be able to grab a new Windows Phone handset, which wasn’t available in the country until this week.

The company today launched its cheapest 4G-enabled smartphone, Lumia 640 LTE, at a price of Rs 17,399. The good news is Microsoft has already confirmed the Lumia 640 XL LTE will eventually receive an upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile.

This device comes with the same specifications as the 3G variant, which was showcased few months back in the Mobile World Congress 2015 (MWC) except this one supports the LTE connectivity.

The reports also claimed that Microsoft’s first 4G LTE phone Lumia 640XL would be offering a few special data offers to all the costumers who will be having Airtel connections.

This smartphone has dual sim capablity and offers 1 GB memory powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which runs at 1.2GHz. There is an internal space of 8GB which is further expandable to 128GB via a micro SD card. Meanwhile, the Indian subsidiary of Microsoft has quietly launched the Lumia 640 XL LTE Dual SIM in the Indian market. It is packed with a 3000 mAh battery that claims to provide 30 hours of talk time and 888 hours of standby time.

On the camera department, this dual SIM device features a 13MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front-facing camera. Free OneDrive storage is also available up to 30GB while the smartphone measures 157.9×81.5x9mm and weighs in at 171 grams. The Lumia smartphone with 4G capability is equipped with a quad-core processor, 5.7 inches HD display and integrated Microsoft services.
