Microsoft launches new Windows 10, hoping for better reception than its last

Microsoft’s latest system Windows 10 is now available to download and if you’ve got Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, you can get this on your computer now.

This operating system is in its final days of gestation and is due to arrive to expectant consumers very soon, when they would be able to upgrade their existing OS to this new and unparalleled form of Windows. To qualify, you just need to be running a genuine versions of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 on a PC or tablet.

From 29 July, new hardware from the likes of Dell, Asus and Toshiba will also run the new OS. According to the BBC, Microsoft Chief Executive, Satya Nadella, said, that he hoped the multi-platform capabilities of Windows 10 would be an incentive for developers to design software for the system and make Microsoft devices attractive for users.

Next, reserve your Windows 10 upgrade. “Along with our partners, we’re excited to deliver the best Windows ever, which will empower people and organizations around the world to do great things”.

For business customers, Windows 10 is available to start deploying within their work environments, and starting August 1, organisations that have volume licensing can upgrade to Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 10 Education.

But, if you have a Windows device that is eligible for an upgrade, you probably have some questions.

Windows 10 will now update automatically and for many the new version is free.

Microsoft has launched Microsoft Phone Companion, an app that brings the Windows 10 experience to iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone.

The Media Creation Tool won’t allow you to do so, but you can download the Windows 10 ESD files separately, grab ESD Decryptor to convert them to ISO files, and then burn them to DVDs with the help of a disc burning program. Microsoft is betting that a large pool of users will help convince independent programmers that it’s worth their time to build useful or entertaining apps for Windows 10 devices. The company also collects fees from people who use premium versions of its Office software, OneDrive cloud storage and Skype.
