Microsoft Learned from Steam’s Early Access Mistakes for Xbox One Preview
It’s become far more community driven and far more incremental. The Xbox maker intends to bring early access to the console, while avoiding the issues facing Steam’s program, which includes bad games, a lack of curation, and shady developers.

With a bunch of new games on the horizon, especially those jumping over from the Xbox One exclusive pile, Windows 10 is definitely becoming a killer place to play PC games.
As you might already know, Microsoft has launched their own version of Steam Early Access with something called the Game Preview Program on Xbox One.
This means we could be seeing some pretty big games released on the Xbox One Game Preview Program, before they are finished, and before they are available in any other way.
Until now, users have had to rely on third party solutions, I myself am using an old 1TB drive I scavenged from a laptop and it seems to work just fine.
“We are curating that program very much with an eye for making sure that the games are high-quality games”. This is a way to extend the beta experience and also support development a little in the process. Though, the internal storage gets filled very quickly if you’re an avid game and install a few heavy duty games.
On Steam Early Access there has been a number of occasions when a developer hasn’t been able to raise the funds to finish its game, leaving those who bought it in the lurch.
TO solve the storage problems for gamers, Seagate has partnered with Microsoft to give gamers a hassle free option of expanding storage for their games.

“First party will be using Game Preview for our games,” Microsoft’s head of publishing Shannon Loftis told GameInformer.
