Microsoft Lumia 950 & 950 XL to launch on Nov 20

As for the 950 XL, a similar phone but with a faster processor and larger screen, it’s reported that AT&T will not be the carrier. The devices are expected to release sometime later this month or early next month.

Do you have any of the above Lumia phones listed in the Windows 10 update schedule?

Windows 10 equips the Lumia 950 and 950 XL with features including Microsoft Office, Universal Apps and Continuum, allowing the handsets to transform into a full PC.

Microsoft had already confirmed that the Windows 10 Mobile update rollout will start from December 2015, but according to the leaked document from Orange Poland, the update will be rolled out in two phases. The first of the video of the series offers you a “quick tour of the highlights”, with options to change your start screen, set the image transparency level, and preview that transparency level on your image right within settings. Unfortunately the second wave will come much later, starting on February 1, 2016. This wave includes the Lumia 520, 532, 625, 720, 820, 920, 925, 930, 1020 and 1320. This is probably because it was sold in Poland as an unlocked model, so the carrier had no participation with its update process.

Microsoft has previously said that the Lumia 950 will be priced at $549 off-contract, but on-contract pricing on AT&T has not been revealed. It should be noted that 8GB of native storage is required to download the firmware, meaning owners of devices such as the Lumia 530 have a few serious hard drive freeing up to do. In other words, after Windows 10 Mobile arrives on your phone, you can continue receiving preview builds if you wish to remain part of the program, or opt out and stay on the stable version.
