Microsoft New York City flagship store to open October 26

Microsoft is seriously improving its retail store game this month as it opens the doors of its flagship brick-and-mortar store located in New York City, the location is merely a few blocks away from Apple’s iconic Fifth Avenue store. The Fifth Avenue flagship will be the company’s largest store to date. Manhattan’s flagship will span five floors and 22,269 square feet, Microsoft reports. The temporary scaffolding had been removed and the store received a fresh new cover to hide the storefront until its ready for the grand opening. Microsoft is coming to Fifth Avenue, too. Whether a part or the entire story was wrong is unknown at this time.

That said, we doubt it’ll be open 24 hours like Apple’s flagship, and there’s no word on whether Microsoft will allow rappers to record their albums in-store. These flagship stores will deliver on these commitments, offering premier shopping destinations. The software giant will follow that with its first global flagship store in Sydney on November 12. It’s not clear precisely what makes these the first “lead” ones, yet in the event that Microsoft has been arranging them for a long time then October 26th will be a major ordeal. Its New York store is staffed by residents from all five boroughs and the surrounding areas, capable of communicating in 19 languages. The smaller Sydney location will take up two floors and 6,000 square feet. It features retail sales space and an interactive area to serve local customers and business, with staff originating from more than 11 countries and speaking more than 21 languages, Microsoft said.

Perhaps the highly-anticipated Microsoft Studios’ video game Halo 5: Guardians, which is slated for an October 27 release, will be available for gamers to tap their thumbs to during the flagship store’s grand opening as well.
