Microsoft reconnects with PC gamers through Xbox Play Anywhere
Also games that will come for Xbox One will be playable on Xbox One S and Project Scorpio. You can then log into your Xbox Live/Microsoft account and download your Xbox Play Anywhere games. Microsoft is also interested in growing its Xbox store on PC.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Spencer said those who don’t have a 4K display should instead buy an Xbox One S, “because Scorpio is not going to do anything for you”. Video game consoles are entertainment devices, and nobody wants to buy a new Xbox a couple of times every five years or so.
“Describing Project Scorpio as “‘the most powerful console ever created”, the company revealed that it will sport a high power graphics processing unit (GPU) capable of supporting 4K gaming and high resolution virtual reality.
Furthermore, without a 4K display, Spencer says the new system “won’t do anything for you”.
However, the new Xbox One version will likely not be launched by Microsoft before the holiday season next year. “If they say I have an Xbox One now, I’m thinking about an Xbox One S, I want to be as transparent as I can be so they know they’re buying with as much information as I can give them”.
While they have comparable specs, Sony’s PlayStation 4 is slightly more powerful than the current version of the Xbox One.
“We’ve made a commitment to bring our first-party games to Windows and Xbox One”, The Verge quoted Xbox chief Phil Spencer as saying at the E3 event.

However, it is unusual that Xbox chose to also unveil Project Scorpio at the same event, which could put people off a purchase of the Xbox One S in preference to holding on for another year. Given Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, which is blurring the line between Xbox One and Windows 10 gaming, support for traditional PC peripherals was a given.
