By contrast, owners of Oculus Rift must have a high-end graphics PC to play games and videos on the $599 VR headset. The big test of PSVR will be in the games it makes available to its users.

The reason behind fans thinking that Sony might do otherwise was due to Microsoft’s aggressive promotion of its upcoming Xbox One S and Project Scorpio during the E3 event.
However it is the PlayStation system many believe will be the most popular with consumers because of its ease to integrate into current households by plugging into a PS4. The company is also developing HoloLens augmented-reality goggles.

If purchased separately, the whole set can cost players nearly $550, and this does not include the games yet. Today, during its keynote presentation at E3, Sony shared that October 23rd is the launch date for the virtual reality headset in the United States.
