Now there is no end date to the free Windows 10 upgrade program for assistive tool users, but Microsoft will make “a public announcement prior to ending the offer”.
If you came out of Microsoft’s free upgrade promotion with a new copy of Windows 10 installed on your computer, you might like to know that the Anniversary Update is now available. However, Microsoft is offering a free upgrade offer extension for users of the operating system’s assistive technologies.
Microsoft has started the rollout of its Windows 10 Anniversary Update to all existing users around the globe after much hype. Now, you’re going to have to open your wallet to upgrade.
Microsoft made it clear that it is not restricting access to specific assistive technologies. If you use assistive technology on Windows, you are eligible for the free upgrade offer. The Windows 10 Anniversary Update will start rolling out to Windows 10 Mobile phones in the coming weeks.
Microsoft has released the Windows 10 Anniversary Update to PCs and the HoloLens.
“Everyone running Windows 10 will get these new features for free”.
Next, look for and click on the “Upgrade now” button, then download and run the file to begin the upgrade.
When will the next Windows 10 update be available? Windows 10 automatically scans for, downloads and installs new updates on your device (though the Anniversary Update will require a restart). If you weren’t able to upgrade you’ll need to do so by paying a fee of £99.99 for the home version and £189.99 for the professional one.
Microsoft is merging the Windows 10 and Xbox App stores.
