ReCore might not be the best way to celebrate it, but Microsoft’s “Play Anywhere” concept has officially seen the light of day.
Microsoft has announced that ReCore, the first Xbox Play Anywhere game, is available starting now on Xbox One and Windows 10 in North America, Latin America and most Asian countries. Your progress, including saves, DLC and Achievements, will carry over between the two platforms thus allowing you to shift between them at your leisure.
Other upcoming Xbox Play Anywhere titles include Forza Horizon 3 (September 27) and Gears of War 4 (October 11), while 2017 titles in the program include Halo Wars 2, Sea of Thieves, and Scalebound.

YouTube user Namtox says that the average loading time he experienced on an original model Xbox One with a standard internal hard drive was between 35 and 45 seconds, but this time could multiply when entering certain areas. And according to Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg, the Xbox Play Anywhere program represents, for the company, a “tremendous value”. It’s also been confirmed that titles like Cuphead, We Happy Few and ARK: Survival Evolved will also support the initiative. “So we wanted to enable that for gaming, and that’s a consumer benefit”, he explained.
