At a hardware event in New York, Microsoft unveiled the hotly anticipated Lumia 950, Lumia 950XL and Lumia 550. The lock button and volume buttons are located on the right side of the handset while the headphone jack is situated at the top.

The Lumia 950 features a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. The GPU is again of the Adreno family – Adreno 430. Apart from that, the device also sports 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 200 GB through a microSD card. And given the uncertain future of Microsoft’s mobile efforts after it wrote off assets related to its Nokia acquisition, the announcement of the Lumia 550 is an important step for Microsoft to continue aiming phones at all price points in the smartphone market. It stars 4992 х 3744 pixels, Carl Zeiss optics, optical image stabilization, autofocus, and triple-LED RGB flash.

Microsoft said that the flash could help you not to look like a “Ghost” in pictures with the flash – compliment? Protected under Corning Gorilla Glass 4, it presents users with an Oxygen 2.1 user interface. The device also has a 2-megapixel front facing a camera with the f/2.8 aperture and 480p video recording ability.

While only OnePlus 2 has a fingerprint sensor, the Lumia 950 supports Qi-enabled wireless charging, and both feature USB Type-C ports for reversible connection.

As per the initial reports from the company, the smartphone can give you a standby of 288h (2G/3G), talk time of 25h (2G)/19h(3G) and audio playback of 75h.
