Microsoft’s Windows 10 Is Catching Up to Windows XP
Windows 10 had 9.00 percent market share in November, and gained 0.96 percentage points to hit 9.96 percent in December. “Take care of everyday tasks faster with an improved Action Center, enjoy a distraction-free reading experience with the Microsoft Edge browser, and do more on the move with universal apps like Maps, Calendar and Photos”, teased the official Microsoft’s website.

Windows 7 still remains the most popular OS that is offered by Microsoft.
However, another data source – Ireland’s StatCounter – showed that Windows 10’s growth increased in December.
According to Net Applications the number of Windows XP users is with 11% still higher than the 10% market share of Windows 10.
Reports claim that Windows 10 Mobile upgrade may begin rolling out during the early parts of the new year to select Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 gadgets.
The Windows 10 was launched in the market only five months ago.
To upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile, users are required to also have Lumia Denim OS version 8.10.14219.341 or above installed. For now, Edge is available alongside of IE, but has new features such as Cortana integration and the ability to annotate web pages.
The good news for Microsoft is that Windows 10 is created to be updated regularly.
With Microsoft’s mobile boss Stephen Elop having been pushed out shortly after the Nokia deal and longtime Windows Phone trumpeter Joe Belfiore taking a year off, it’s safe to say Windows Phone isn’t where Microsoft wants it to be right now. It’s pretty much a given that the Windows 10 update will be fixing bugs for some time after it comes out, so there are possible advantages to waiting before you update as well. This can be done by going to Settings Update & Security Windows Update Advanced Options and then select Slow Ring listed under Get Insider Preview builds.
