In other deals, Microsoft announced discussions for cooperation with Xi’xian New Area, a special development zone, on a variety of projects including big data, cloud computing and “smart” urbanization.
One way people in China will get the new version of Windows will be just by searching for “Windows” on Baidu. Bing still powers the internal Windows search function – including in China – and Cortana, Microsoft’s virtual assistant software.
While at the Microsoft campus, the Chinese president met with senior company executives and board members, “watched technology demos and reviewed innovative new devices”, according to a Microsoft review of the meeting.
Chinese Internet giant Baidu Inc has struck a deal with Microsoft Corp to make Baidu.com the default home page and search engine for the United States behemoth’s Edge browser in China. Microsoft will make it easy for customers to upgrade to the official Windows 10 via a Baidu “Windows 10 Express” distribution channel.
With more than 67 million computers reportedly running Windows 10, Microsoft’s new software-as-a-service operating system offered for free is doing great. He has used the trip as a chance to strengthen U.S.-China business relationships, inviting top CEOs from both countries to meet to talk about how they can better work together. That included Xiaomi, Lenovo, and Tencent. While it has no hopes of getting any profits from its Windows Mobile smartphones, as Android and iOS are the front-runners in the country, it undoubtedly has the ability to earn profits from its desktop operating system.
Only time will tell whether Windows 10 can help Microsoft reverse its fortunes in the search game, but with Windows 10 it’s bringing to the table the most integrated experience we’ve seen from the software vendor.

With the deal, Baidu will fortify its grip on Web search in China.
