Microsoft Surface Phone Will Stand Out Like A Sore Thumb

Numerous reliable reports speculate that the Surface Pro 5 will come with Windows 10 Redstone 2 pre-installed, which will drastically improve the user interface of the device. This is because the efficiency of the Kaby Lake processor ensures the battery life of a device is maximized. However, the earlier reported timeline is a much favorable slate since its smaller cousin, the Surface Pro 5, still awaits the arrival of Intel’s Kaby Lake chip. Because of this, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is only expected to be deployed in the first quarter of 2017, Neurogadget reported.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has done a brilliant job with its current generation Surface Pro device.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which was released in October previous year, was plagued with a number of issues which made it quite unpopular among tech enthusiasts. The main objective of the delay is that Microsoft will be applying the second part of their Windows 10 update, dubbed as Redstone 2, to the upcoming tablet convertible. Among other specs, the upcoming Surface Pro tablet is expected to come preloaded with Windows 10 Professional Redstone 2 operating system. The poor battery performance of the laptop-tablet hybrid and stylus issues were the main drawbacks. It can also be a sign that the Surface Pro 5 release is just on the horizon. Another popular rumor is that the upcoming product will sport 4K display, which will be a significant upgrade over the display screen of its predecessor. That would mean a savings of $250 for those who would want to avail of the device, which is the 128GB variant of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. The device is also believed to have a USB-C port instead of the usual USB 3.0 port.
