Microsoft to miss Windows 10 1 billion device target

There are now 350 million monthly active Windows 10 devices, according to a Microsoft statement.

The spread of Windows 10 in the year ahead was expected to be driven by use in businesses and in new devices.

I do believe that Windows 10 will eventually get to a billion devices, of course- just not right away.

When Microsoft first unveiled Windows 10, the company had high expectations for its unified operating system. These tools are created to help business users better detect, investigate and respond to attacks on their systems, Microsoft said.

One of the biggest improvements to Plex on Windows 10 is support for Microsoft’s Universal Windows Platform (UWP), so the apps can be serviced on all Windows 10 platforms with fewer changes to be made on the company’s end.

“The free upgrade offer will end on July 29th and we want to make sure you don’t miss out”.

Nonetheless, Windows 10 uptake has moved at a record pace relative to earlier versions.

The company unveiled the target when it launched Windows 10 past year, indicating that it would make the latest Windows operating system by far the most popular the company has ever released. A noteworthy example includes the forthcoming Windows 10-based HP Elite x3 running on an ARM processor.

The report goes on to explain that hitting one billion devices was totally achievable at one point.

The new feature is now being released gradually to a few countries, including United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, and France on all Windows 10 devices, but everyone should eventually get it in the coming months.
