Microsoft to Open Flagship Store in Manhattan
It measures 22,269 square feet (2,068 square meters) and groups pretty much everything of the company’s ecosystem, including devices, services, and software. The company is scheduled to open another store – in Sydney, Australia – in time for the holiday shopping season this year.

The Redmond, Wash. tech company is opening a new flagship store in New York City with two floors of its latest Windows 10 devices including the Surface Pro 4, Surface Book and the Lumia 950 smartphones.
Day-one customers can take advantage of great deals on Surface devices and low prices on Xbox One and accessories. In addition, the first 1,000 people in line will receive complimentary tickets to attend Microsoft’s community concert featuring Pitbull at Rockefeller Center, located at Rockefeller Plaza on 48th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, at 8 p.m. ET Monday night.
The large footprint of the new store gives Microsoft a chance to create unique branding that it hasn’t been able to in small outlets or with third-party retail partners, Wurmser said. Waiting for customers at Microsoft’s Fifth Avenue store before the grand opening on October 26, 2015.
This brings the total number of stores to 110 with locations in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
