With just over two weeks until the launch of Windows 10, Microsoft is shifting the hype train into high gear. We are embracing a new way to deliver Windows.
While working on adding as many features and improvements to Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft released a few updates for some of the apps that come pre-loaded on the new operating system. At a Microsoft event, executives said PC makers would not have PCs with Windows 10 preinstalled on store shelves by the time of the Windows 10 launch.
Microsoft informs that most new or fairly new computers should not have any trouble supporting Windows 10. When a copy becomes available, Microsoft will scan the user’s computer to check to see if it is compatible, and then download Windows 10 automatically.
In a number of important ways, Windows 10 has much in common with Windows 7, especially in its look and feel.
In an interview with ZDNet at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference in Orlando, Mr Nadella promised there would be new “premium” Lumia devices launching this year. Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 together make up 15 percent of operating systems in use, followed by Windows Vista users who represent 1.6 percent of operating systems. Cortana will also be found on smartphones and tablets once Windows 10 becomes available for the devices.

“In addition to the global non-profits, starting in September, we will crowdsource nominations for 10 non-profits in each of the following 10 countries: Australia, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the US”. Marketing will focus on a message called “Upgrade Your World” including asking users to tweet things they want to upgrade like their vehicle with the hashtag #UpgradeYourWorld.
