The feature allows users to connect automatically to hotspots nearby and it also shares Skype and Outlook contacts and WiFi log-in information with friends. It’s still in the latest Windows 10 preview build… but it will no longer share networks with your contacts.
Aside from this feature removal, a lot of beautification and updates have been introduced in the new Windows 10 Insider Preview.
Microsoft’s Gabe Aul said is a statement said that the cost of updating the code to keep the feature working combined with low usage and low demand made it not worth further investment.
Previous Windows 10 games, like Rise of the Tomb Raider, didn’t have these features, though they did if you purchased them on Steam.
Windows 10 gaming is trying to prove that it can reach expectations and that it is constantly checking it’s feedback to bring better updates in response.
The list of changes and upgrades that users can expect with this update is extensive. The latest iteration continues to improve upon the Edge web browser, among a variety of other tweaks and one noteworthy removal. It now allows users to easily install Edge extensions directly from the Windows Store. For those who haven’t come across this yet, the Windows Store is where no-one gets their software.
Microsoft has announced that users only have until July 29th to upgrade their machines to Windows 10 for free. You will still be to join known open Wi-Fi networks automatically, to save on data and battery as Microsoft promises.
At the launch of the Facebook apps for Windows 10, the company did reveal its plan for mobile devices, and today, we have the first look of the new apps.

You can get the new build through Windows Update if you’re already part of the Windows Insider Program. While there are now no apps that support this, in preparation for their availability, Microsoft said it has added a new page under settings where users will be able to manage the feature.
