It seems that the good people over at Xiaomi are working on a spanking new tablet that is ready and waiting to be released down the road – and this particular tablet will run on the Windows 10 platform.
Seeing as how the company’s presence is growing in the region of China, not to mention that Xiaomi has also been able to sell more than 31 million units for H1, 2015, it would only be fitting for Microsoft and Xiaomi to create one of the biggest partnerships in the tech industry. Office Mobile (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote) kicks off a series of productivity software releases that will take place this year, Koenigsbauer said.
So far the only rumor that has more of a direct Microsoft involvement is the release of the Surface Pro 4 sometime this year, and that has no guarantee yet that it will have Windows 10 in it, though in all likelihood it will.
Across each of the apps, will experience full fidelity viewing of their Office documents, knowing edits and changes made on any device will render perfectly across all their devices. Hovering over the experience is Microsoft’s cloud file storage, sync and share service, OneDrive. OneDrive connectivity means users can access documents anywhere, pick up where they last left off, and co-author with others on documents and projects.
All of the applications promise to offer the full functionality of their desktop equivalents but with precise touchscreen controls and mobile-specific features so users can work on the move. “Excel’s new Recommended Charts feature is ideal for smaller screens and gives you the power to quickly visualize your data with just a few taps”, he said.
PowerPoint Mobile’s rich presentation capabilities have been coupled with a touch-first design. personally by presenting wirelessly.
