But on the other hand, Microsoft itself has admitted that it’s very likely to fail its ambitious goal of bringing Windows 10 on 1 billion devices by FY2018.

Almost a year after hitting the market, Windows 10 is now running on more than 350 million devices, according to Microsoft. ZDNet’s Mary J Foley got clarification about the milestone via a statement from a Microsoft spokesperson late last week.
Microsoft says Windows 10 is in active use on about 350 million separate devices at present. “In the year ahead, we are excited about usage growth coming from commercial deployments and new devices – and increasing customer delight with Windows”, Yusuf Mehdi, chief of the Windows marketing unit, has said.
I do believe that Windows 10 will eventually get to a billion devices, of course- just not right away.
However, sales of its smartphones have not been as high as expected. with Microsoft officials conceding that Windows Phone isn’t much of a focus for Microsoft in its 2016 calendar. And the operating system has managed to fix most of the issues that vexed Windows 8 users, banishing the considerable negativity that surrounded the operating system. It cited its smartphone hardware business as the reason for the revised projections.
“Extensions in Windows 10 Mobile was always iffy, due to limited resources and user interface restrictions”, notes MSPowerUser.
The company has announced that the goal of one billion devices by 2018 may not be achievable.
If you’re an avid Windows 10 Mobile user who is young, hip, and managed to experience the likes of Android and iOS, then there’s a good chance you might be looking forward for an official Snapchat app to make it over to the Microsoft platform.
To littler surprise, there are not any new features in this build but there is a new Edge extension, Amazon Assistant.
Microsoft will give investors an update on its business next Tuesday when it reports earnings from the most recent quarter.

In the past year the technology giant has slowed down its smartphone business and now says that this drop has made it more hard to get the new software on mobile devices such smartphones and tablets. When it became clear that wasn’t enough to tempt people, the company resorted to more aggressive and deceptive measures in an effort to trick even more people into downloading the new OS.
