“Middlesbrough are probably a year or two ahead of us, but we are on the right path. I am disappointed with the result, but we are only going to get better”.

Such is the tight nature of the Championship, Forest are just three points behind Boro yet are down in ninth place. “We were resilient and we will need that kind of character this season, if we are to be a success”.

“But we have won this time because we have the quality, because we have experience; we have experienced players on the pitch and, in the end, that helped us to collect the three points”.

One player who featured that day for Forest but won’t tomorrow is Michail Antonio, who joined West Ham United on deadline day, but speaking at his press conference, the former Real Madrid player feels as if Forest could be more risky without his services. “They’ve lost Antonio this season, but now they are more organised“. I’m sure they are doing their best to prepare for the game. In this division you have to keep collecting points, especially in your home games. We have played attacking football, Henri Lansbury was fantastic in the centre of the park, just as he has been for the last three games. “I hope it will be our third win in a row”. “We made a mistake but we have still won the game, so, hopefully, we can learn from it”.

Dougie Freedman’s side have enjoyed a good week climbing to 9th on the back of wins over sides above them in the table, QPR and Birmingham.

“We all know how hard and how long this league is”.

On-loan Jonny Williams could be included in the Forest squad for the first time after featuring for the Under-21 side this week while Chris O’Grady, Ryan Mendes and David Vaughan could all gets their chance as Forest prepare for a 3rd game in 8 days.

“So if we can keep that togetherness and hunger and desire going then we won’t be far off”.
